In the latest Sainsbury Ad Jamie Oliver makes a sausage sandwich and uses Sweet Tomato and Chilli Chutney - I tried it last night with some of yours and it was delicious...Yum Yum!! Keep up the good work! Is the Taste the Difference product made by you by the way?

The recipes are certainly similar (well they would be, having the same product title!) but not identical. They're both very good products and have quite a strong chilli'kick'. we did some benchmarking on an array of tomato-based chutneys late last year and our own and the TTD product you mention had very similar characteristics. We did taste some dire ones - mainly branded - and some of the worst offenders came as a real shock. But its the individual's choice and we are always reticent to talk in terms of 'better' or 'best'. What always reassures us is that open-pan preserving definitely creates an authentic home made feel that you just don't get using other processes - such as adding modified starch as a thickener.
