A World of Food > Kangaroo!
I fancy cooking some kangaroo - it's certainly tasty (I've had it in restaurants) and supposed to be very healthy with a very low carbon footprint. Has anyone ever bought any and can anyone recommend a supplier?

I have cooked Kangaroo a number of times but never in the UK. I did hear a while back that certain branches of Asda in London did stock it but that was a few years ago, any decent butcher should be able to order it for from their wholesaler, as for carbon footprint as i think most Kangaroo comes from Oz that would be a lot of food miles. It is very healthy and and low in satuarted fats. The dish I used to serve was diced Kangaroo pan fried in a little butter with garlic chillies ginger and seasoning (rest), deglaze the pan with red wine and reduce to sauce consistency and coat the kangaroo simply served on a bed of saffron rice.
